Why We Exist
In 1958, JR and Alma Johns moved to Lake Jeffery.  One of the first things JR did was to establish a public access (Johns Landing) so the residents of Lake City could enjoy the lake and its beauty.  In 1996, when Bill and Earl Rowan developed Woodborough, they set aside property so this tradition could be continued.  Lake Jeffery Sportsman’s Association (formerly known as Woodborough Lake Club) exists to ensure community lake access continues.  Members of the Association continue to be committed to the preservation and responsible enjoyment of  this beautiful natural resource.
